Summer Makeup


Welcome back! With summer knocking on your front doors I want to gave you some everyday makeup tips. Summer days in Kansas consist of either rainy days or hot days. With that being said, I don't imagine everyone will be wanting to put a full face of makeup on especially if you are pool side. Here are some of my summer makeup tips!

1. Waterproof Mascara
I really like the Elf brand because its great quality without spending an arm and a leg!

2. Tinted SPF Moisturizer
I will spend a little more for a tinted moisturizer because I have found with drug tore brands that they leave my face looking grainy. This product leaves a sooth finish without making me feel overwhelmed with moister and it has SPF!

3. Setting Powder

Setting powder helps fight off oil and also makes your face feel matified. I love this brand because it keeps my face looking smooth and fresh all day long and the product it self lasts me 6 months+ because a little goes a long way.

4. Setting Spray
After much research, this bad boy was rated best setting spray by multiple blogs. Setting spray is a great product to use after you apply makeup so your hard work lasts all day long!

5. Tinted Lip Balm

Lip balm with SPF is a must during the summer because nothing is worse than burnt lips!

"Working Out" In Style

 In high school I always felt the need to, "put my face on" as my nana calls it and to wear my cutest clothes to school everyday. Now that I'm in college it is VERY socially acceptable to wear yoga pants, an oversized t-shirt or workout wear (even if you don't actually workout) to classes everyday. I for sure own more yoga pants than I do of jeans, because well, jeans are uncomfortable and don't let you move around like yoga pants do and I think we can all relate to that!  Sometimes with cute workout apparel comes a not so cute price. One of my favorite stores to shop at is KB&Co  in downtown Lawrence, Kansas.
