Skin Care Through The Stresses Of College
With college comes stress and with stress comes acne.....yaya!!! Not! I'm here to tell you about my skincare routine and how to keep a healthy looking face through the stressful life of being a college student!
1.A Good Quality Face Wash!
My favorite face wash is OLEHENRIKSEN The Clean Truth™ Foaming Cleanser. This brand has 4 different categories to tailor to everyone's face needs. These categories are Truth(brightening), Transform(youthfulness), Balance(oil control), and Nurture(dry skin). I've used drug store face washes before, but I definitely did not get the same outcome from them compared to this product. Once I started using this product, I noticed a big difference in the way my face looked. I saw less acne, more brightness and a smoother texture in my face.

2. Toner
Have you ever heard or used toner before? If not you definitely should! Toner helps refresh your skin in the morning and before bed. It also aids in cleaning out excess dirt your face wash left behind. I have oily skin and so I use the OLEHENRIKSEN Balancing Force™ Oil Control Toner. This brand in general comes paraben and sulfate free. You usually find those two things in toners from drug stores, but they actually do more harm to your skin than good. I usually only have to buy this product 2-3 times a year because a little goes a long way and it lasts a long time.

3. Moisturizer
Moisturizers are a must for everyone! This includes those that do have oily skin too because you can actually make your face overproduce oil by not moisturizing it(been there, done that). I use the OLEHENRIKSEN Counter Balance™ Mattifying Moisture Crème. This product gives me just enough miniaturization, without making me feel like I'm swimming in oil.
$40
Day and night
4. Under Eye Cream
In college it's hard to have a specific bedtime with all the assignments and events we have to go to. When you don't get enough sleep, you can get dark circles, puffiness and heaviness under your eyes. My lifesaver for a day and night routine is the OLEHENRIKSEN Uplifting Transformation™ Eye Crème for daytime and OLEHENRIKSEN Uplifting Transformation™ Eye Gel for nighttime. They both have cucumber in them which makes your eyes feel refreshed when you apply the product.

5.Acne Treatment
MuradRapid Relief Acne Spot Treatment is my go to acne treatment! I use this product at night when I have acne popups. It helps calm the redness of a blemish and even better, reduces the blemish in just a day!
$22
When a blemish occurs
6. Face Masks
Face Masks are my favorite! They are so fun and relaxing. The brand I use the most is GlamGlow! I'll be honest, I have never bought the masks because they are so expensive, but if you go to Sephora and ask for samples, you can get up to three free samples every time you visit the store and you don't have to purchase anything! There are many different types of masks from this brand that do a variety of cleaning, firming, brightening, and hydrating. The masks I use are: GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD® Clearing Treatment, GLAMGLOW GRAVITYMUD™ Firming Treatment, GLAMGLOW FLASHMUD™ Brightening Treatment, and GLAMGLOW YOUTHMUD™ Tinglexfoliate Treatment. After every use I notice a significant difference in the appearance of my skin and a feeling of youthfulness and cleanliness!

Until next time,
XOXO
